Thangasseri Beach is situated in Kollam (Quilon) District . It was a Portuguese colony, and then a Dutch colony. Finally, Thangasseri came under the English dominion. Thangasseri has some 18th century churches which are worth a visit.
Thangasseri Lighthouse and Thangasseri Fort are two of the major tourist attractions close to Thangasseri beach. The beach has the ruins of an Thangasseri Fort and Churches built in the 18th century.
