Cherai Beach

Cherai Beach - 26 K M away from cochin the business capital of kerala. The 15 km of long golden beach is clean, shallow, and attracts swimming and sunbathing. It is one of the few places where one can experience the lagoon (poyil) and ocean separated only by a few hundred meters.
The place is a unique combination of sea and backwaters rimmed by lush green coconut palms and paddy fields. The backwaters are a combination of lakes, lagoons, canals and estuaries. The beach is excellent for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. 

There is a park for children on the beach. Water Scooter and Speed Boats are available for hire. A boat ride along the palm fringed backwaters and paddy fields is a breathtaking experience you will never forget. The water is calm, crystal clear and you could loose yourselves in the beauty of the surrounding Kerala Village life

Water : There are regular boat services from Ernakulam High Court Jetty or the Main boat jetty to Vypeen
