Alumkadavu Kadathu (lake)

Alumkadavu, 23 km from Kollam, is half way on the route to Alleppey from Kollamand also a part of Asthamudi lake. Alumkadavu is  Located by the north Kollam Backwaters, the village of Alumkadavu is filled with the earthy scent of coir and wood on water. This village is the place where the traditional houseboats of Kerala were constructed. These backwaters completely hidden from the road, and it is not surprising that this is called God's Own Country.
